The Department of Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago has a long tradition of providing thorough and comprehensive training in medicine.

Since 1882, we have been moving academic medicine forward for the people of Illinois and beyond. The Department of Medicine is the largest of 25 academic departments in the College of Medicine. We are comprised of nine divisions, with more than 200 faculty engaged in teaching, scholarly activity and patient care services.

Our main campus is located in the Illinois Medical District. We also provide clinical services at the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Science Center, the Jesse Brown VA hospital, and outpatient locations in the Chicago area.
