Topics in Medical Education (TiME)
Symposia & Webinars
Each symposia in the Topics in Medical Education (TiME) series is based on a topic presented in one of the webinars from MedEdWorld or the IAMSE (see below) and has been selected for its relevance to our institution. An individual from our own faculty who has a particular interest in the topic will share their insights and perspectives during the symposium using clips from the original webinar for reference.

DME provides access to the International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE) Webcast Series for faculty and staff at the UIC College of Medicine. The webcasts are available for group viewing at all COM campuses through a liaison at each campus. Archives are also available for faculty and staff at the UIC College of Medicine.
These webinars are a series of online interactive presentations on topics of current interest in education in the health professions provided by AMEE’s MedEdWorld. The Department of Medical Education has secured access to these webinars and their archives for members of the faculty and staff at the UIC College of Medicine. DME Research Seminars
Regular seminars regarding research topics of interest to medical educators. Professionals in the health professions are invited to attend these free seminars.
To expand the opportunity to participate and join in these discussions, most seminars in the series are also available for participation via the DME’s web conferencing systems. Archives are also available.
Faculty events which provide an opportunity for investigators to describe works-in-progress and get feedback from colleagues.
Faculty The DME Journal Club meets on the third Wednesday of each month at noon to discuss a selected journal article of interest to medical educators.
