PREREQUISITES AND PLACEMENT IN THE CURRICULUM: Students must have completed the M3 Core Clerkship in Medicine.
PURPOSE: Develop clinical skills and knowledge in the understanding, diagnosis and management of infectious diseases.
COMPETENCIES:
INSTRUCTIONAL FEATURES: Students will spend the majority of their time seeing inpatient consultations in general infectious diseases. They will see a variety of illnesses. Students will work closely with housestaff, and will have daily attending rounds with infectious disease faculty. Additionally, students will be active participants in didactic and clinical case conferences twice monthly.
