The University of Illinois Hospital in cooperation with the Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation operates an 18-bed Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation unit for adult’s age 18 and older. The inpatient rehabilitation unit is accredited by both JC and CARF.

The rehabilitation process uses an interdisciplinary team of health care professionals to help a person to reach their fullest physical, psychological, social, vocational, a vocational, and educational potential consistent with his or her goals and life plans.

· Stroke Rehabilitation
· Spinal cord injury rehabilitation
· Traumatic and Non-traumatic Brain injury
· Multiple sclerosis
· Parkinson’s disease
· Arthritis and status post joint replacements
· Amputees
· Cardiac and Pulmonary patients
· Status post organ transplant patients
· Medically complex patients.
