Dr. Orfei is a Staff Neurologist at the Jesse Brown VA Medical center in Chicago.
Dr Orfei graduated in Medicine cum laude from the University of Rome, La Sapienza in 1972. She completed her neurology residency at Northwestern University Medical Center, Chicago, IL in 1978. She subsequently completed a Clinical Electroencephalography fellowship at the University of Illinois, Chicago, IL in 1980.
Dr. Orfei is board certified in Neurology and Clinical Electroencephalography.
Dr. Orfei’s field of interest is epilepsy and she has participated in national studies in Geriatric Epilepsy and in the VA studies on Status Epilepticus
