Dr. Mel Wichter is a Professor of Clinical Neurology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine and the Chairman of the Department of Neurology at Advocate Christ Hospital, Oak Lawn, Illinois.
Dr. Wichter received his medical degree from New York Medical College, New York, NY and completed his residency training in Neurology at Bellevue Hospital, New York, NY.
Dr. Wichter is board certified in Neurology.
Dr. Wichter’s interests are in Clinical Neurology and Neurological Education. He has received several teaching awards from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Rush University, Chicago Medical School and Advocate Christ Hospital and Medical Center. He is the Co-Director of the Neuroscience Institute and also serves on the Governing Council of Advocate Christ Hospital and Medical Center.
