Dr. Arlene Barr is a Consultant in Neurology at the Jesse Brown V.A. Hospital in Chicago and an Associate Professor of Neurology (part Time) at the University of Illinois, Chicago.

Dr Barr obtained her medical training at the Case Western Reserve University And completed a Residency in Neurology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She underwent training in Clinical Electromyography at the University of Illinois, Chicago and in Electrophysiology at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center, Chicago.

Dr. Barr is certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr Barr's areas of research include Clinical Electrophysiology and Electromyography and Extrapyramidal disorders. Dr. Barr has been named as one of the “Best Doctors in America” in 2006, 2007-2008. She has also been a member of the editorial board of “Clinical neuropharmacology”
