Neurosonology Laboratory:
Located within the Neurosciences Center in the Outpatient Care Center (1801 W. Taylor, Suite 4E), the Neurosonology Laboratory is a satellite of the accredited University of Illinois Hospital Vascular Laboratory providing carotid duplex and transcranial Doppler ultrasound services.
Hours of operation: Tuesday morning and Wednesday afternoon.

Inpatient Stroke Service:
The inpatient Stroke Service is staffed on a rotating basis by board certified/eligible Vascular Neurology faculty members. This specialty inpatient service manages inpatients with cerebrovascular disorders admitted to the Stroke Unit of the University of Illinois Hospital, a certified Stroke Center by The Joint Commission and provides consultative services to other inpatient areas of the hospital and Emergency Department. Inpatient Stroke Service team members include an attending Vascular Neurologist, Vascular Neurology fellows, residents, Nurse Coordinator, Social Work, Discharge Planner, Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy, Rehabilitative Medicine and medical students.
Acute Stroke Team:
The Acute Stroke Team provides emergent consultation 24 hours daily to the Emergency Department and University of Illinois Hospital inpatient areas for acute stroke patients who may be potentially eligible for thrombolytic therapies. Team members include: Vascular Neurologists, Neurointensivists, Vascular Neurology fellows, Stroke Service resident, nurses, clinical pharmacists, anesthesiologists, and Neurointerventionalists.
Neurological Critical Care:
The Neurological Critical Care service is staffed on a rotating basis by board certified/eligible Neurointensivists who participate in the care of critically ill patients with a broad spectrum of neurological and neurosurgical disorders that are admitted to a 22-bed dedicated neurosciences intensive care unit. The NSICU team members and services also includes specialized nursing, clinical pharmacy, Respiratory Therapy, Social Work, Discharge Planner, Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy, fellows, residents, and medical students.
