Dr. Dilip K Pandey is an Associate Professor of Neurology & Rehabilitation, and Epidemiology at University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Pandey is also Director of Neuroepidemiology and Clinical Trials at the Center for Stroke Research (CSR) in the Department of Neurology & Rehabilitation, University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago.
Dr. Pandey’s focus of research is in epidemiology and prevention of cardiovascular disease and stroke, quality improvement of acute stroke care, and translation of evidence based medicine into clinical practice. After finishing his medical education and clinical training in India, Dr. Pandey received MS and PhD in epidemiology from University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Pandey has been involved as principal investigator or investigator in numerous NIH, and CDC funded studies and has expertise in epidemiologic methods and research design.
Presently, funded programs in the section of Neuroepidemiology at the CSR include Illinois Capture Stroke Registry, a Paul Coverdell National Acute Stroke Registry in Illinois; the Great Lakes Regional Stroke Network; Economic Impact of DRG 559 in Improving quality of Stroke Care and Impact; and Study of TTP: Incidence and Risk Factors.
