The College of Medicine Learning Center Project continues to make advancements with an ambitious agenda. Once again we would like to provide specific updates about the movement of the project.
The Learning Center Project continues on an accelerated schedule to meet our August deadline for the space to be functioning for instruction.
Demolition on the 2nd floor is complete and the space is now being prepared for fireproofing and infrastructure upgrades.
The original window openings located in the 2nd floor auditorium have been fully revealed, which will add a considerable amount of natural light into the restored space.
The 3rd floor fireproofing was completed last week and the new service line supplies for water, power, and HVAC are being hung from the ceiling.
On the 4th floor, the walls for the new Chicago Student Medical Student Council Office has been framed.
The 4th Floor power supply panels have been installed and the contractors are now routing the service lines to the individual classrooms.
