2014 Pilot Project Program

 

The Purpose:

 
 

To foster high quality interdisciplinary cancer research collaborations among the four programs and shared resources of the UICC in treatment, prevention, population health and cancer surviviorship with a specific focus on cancers that greatlet and/or disproportionately affect underserved populations in our surrounding community. 

The four University of Illinois Cancer Center research programs are:

  • Population, Health, Behavior and Outcomes
  • Carcinogenesis and Chemoprevention
  • Cancer Targets and Therpeutics
  • Cancer Biology

 

 

The Goal :

 
 

To support development of preliminary data for collaborative cancer research prposals to the National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NCI), American Cancer Society (National), and Department of Defense (DOD) or equivalent finding agency.

Applications are due Monday, December 9, 2013. 

Please submit one PDF file containing the entire application to Regina Schwind (rschwind@uic.edu) no later than 5:00 pm on Monday, December 9, 2013. 

Awards will be announced January 15, 2014. 

The Award Start Date will be February 1, 2014.
