Cancer Center Protocol Review Committee (CC-PRC), in cooperation with the UIC Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research Office for the Protection of Research Subjects, provides for the scientific review of all cancer-related protocols annually. Fifteen individuals from multiple oncology and health care disciplines serve as members of the Committee. This diverse composition assures a multidisciplinary approach to protocol review.
Cancer Center Protocol Review Committee replaces the departmental review.
A comprehensive scientific review is conducted for all new protocols initiated by UIC investigators and for all industry sponsored protocols. New cancer clinical trial protocols supported by NIH mechanisms that have already undergone peer review are reviewed for feasibility and prioritization.
As part of the Protocol Review and Monitoring Procedures, we are excited to launch three new Cancer Center Protocol Review Committee (CC-PRC) Forms! Protocols submitted to the Cancer Center Protol Review Committee should utilize the new forms, beginning October 15, 2012. The CC-PRC will not accept protocols without the new forms after November 15, 2012.
The links below will take you directly to the new forms, instructions for the new forms, procedures and meeting schedule.
